  • Talbert-Pierson Cemetery - About 3 miles away, there are covered graves

  • Eunice - 1 hour and 15 minutes away, a ten acre restored Cajun Prairie can be viewed (www.cajunprairie.org)

  • Canoe rentals on the Ouiska Chitto

    • Several canoe rental operations are 30 minutes away near Mittie, Louisiana

  • Louisiana State Parks

    • To the east, Chicot State Park, to the west and northwest, Hodges Gardens, South Toledo Bend, and North Toledo Bend, and to the southwest, Sam Houston Jones Park. The Louisiana State Arboretum is a State Preservation area located just north of Ville Platte. To the northwest near Natchitoches are the State Historic Sites of Fort Jessup and Mansfield.
